Summer Slam & Bill Maertens Aug. 13-14, 2011

Well the dog days of summer are here, fishing this past weekend was a little slow for most, and the weeds and weather didn’t help anybody either, but that’s why it’s called fishing. There were 3 nice fish brought into the scale at the Belle. The first fish in was caught by Paul Bennett aboard the Huntress a 35.85 lb hog, that would be the only fish weighed in on Saturday. Sunday brought some new light into the picture with another hog at the scale, a 35.05 lb, caught by Paul Carabelli aboard the La Bella Vita, things then slowed down until late afternoon when Richard Maison Jr. caught a 34.25 lb pig aboard the Down Time, all in all a good tournament with all fish released. Dinner was great as always served up by fast Eddie and the crew under the tent.
