Coronavirus

How MOMC is Responding to COVID-19

We are living through an extraordinary time with the fast spread of the coronavirus, identified as COVID-19.  Our number one priority always is the health and safety of our members and their families. We want to share some of the actions we have taken to keep our MOMC community safe.

On Thursday April 9th Governor Whitmer extended the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order through April 30th.  For additional information and all the details you can visit www.michigan.gov/coronavirus. We have taken a range of action, including but not limited to:

  • A letter was sent out to membership and posted on social media.
  • MOMC Spring Walleye Classic tournament has been cancelled for 2020.
  • May general membership meeting is still on.  We will evaluate as we get closer to that time and make a definitive decision.
  • Membership signup/renewal will be online this year. The following link will take you to the portal www.lscmomc.com/membership. We will provide assistance to those members that don’t have internet access.
  • The Joe LePage Classic scheduled for the first weekend in June is still on but the Sunday ceremony/luncheon is cancelled.
  • The 25th Annual Special Olympics Charity Derby is being postponed, more information to follow.
  • We are working on a digital copy of the 2020 MOMC yearbook.  We will evaluate printed copies later in the year. Club directory and rules will be available online soon.

We recognize there are a lot of questions, and that answers may continually change as the situation evolves. We will communicate regularly here on lscmomc.com. If you have any additional questions, please contact us at momclsc@gmail.com.

We will continue to monitor this evolving situation and will keep you informed of future updates. Thank you for your ongoing support as we work through this together.  We are looking forward to a great 2020 season and hope everyone is staying healthy and safe.

Sincerely,

MOMC Board of Directors
